For as long as I can remember
I have loved art. Whether studying it, making it, writing about it, observing it or curating it, art is a humble yet formidable part of my life. I spent most of my BKC (before kids career) as a magazine editor, stylist and writer. It was a fast paced world populated by creatives who taught me about visual curation, patience, business and the joy of a free lipstick. However, post-partum, things changed and I set my sights, instead, on the dining table and my laptop. So, in between dinner prep, washing and pram walks I became a freelance writer for brands like GRAZIA, ICON and Elle Australia. I wrote a lot about art during this time which drew me back into the world I had loved since school. Soon, the creative jurisdiction I had over the dining table extended to our back room thanks to a few Marketplace buys (a desk and an easel) and more than a few visits to Art Disneyland (Eckersley’s). Add to that a disease that saw me restricted from driving for long periods, painting became not only a passion and a new career option but a therapy.
Mine is an ever-changing journey, creating pieces with heart and a critical eye, in the hope they can bring as much joy to you as they have to me.
